Ferry Van Loo - Unique Allround Champion:

Introduction
Ferry Van Loo has since he was a little boy been involved with and fascinated by racing pigeons. He has always studied the pigeons in details and looked for the best pigeons in the world to be able to strenghen own colony.
In his years as a teenager he visited the world famous Maurice Delbar together with his father and Hannes Van Osch and it was around this time that Ferry Van Loo got fascinated by the Belgian fanciers and their ability to achieve very good results with few pigeons.
He studied the Belgian race results and magazines and looked for characteristics of the good pigeons and with in few years he had built a very strong loft.
Already in the 80’ties he became a famous fancier with fantastic results.

In the 90’ties he made some strong purchases from Belgium – pigeons that founded the strain/family present on the loft of Ferry Van Loo today.
In 2003 he moved to Zutphen – an area with a lot of strong fanciers – but he shows that he can bring on the fascination and his first love from Belgium – to win in strong competition with few pigeons.

Foundation
Maurice Voets from Kessel in Belgium has always had a huge influence on the breeding flock in Zutphen – children and grandchildren of the famous “Witslap” and “Bourges” came to Ferry Van Loo. In addition Ferry Van Loo bought grandchildren of “Oude Zwarte” from Louis Goyvaerts and a sister to the mother of the famous “Fieneke 5000” from Flor Vervoort.
Good pigeons from Jaap Van Mourik too together with some pigeons from Ad Schaerlaeckens going back to the “Fameuze As 77” from Maurice Voets.
He also tried with other pigeons from the competitors around him, but the Belgian pigeons were better for Ferry Van Loo.
